BMA Visits Four Major Japanese Cities

The BMA recently organised this year’s first promotional week in Japan. The visits coincided with the Flag’s 30th Anniversary and the team met up with bankers and ship finance consultants as well as existing and potential clients at celebratory receptions in four of Japan’s major cities – Osaka, Tokushima, Kure and Imabari.  Also in attendance were other stakeholders from the Japanese shipping industry.

The BMA delegation included Asia Regional Director Capt. Jahangir Hussain, Japan Director Hitoshi Matsumoto, Registrar Juanita Butler and Chie Funda, Senior Secretary.

The promotional week was a wonderful opportunity for The BMA to showcase its commitment to the local shipping industry in Japan. The BMA is keen to strengthen business relations with the Japanese maritime sector in these key locations and was delighted to be able to hold personal meetings with representatives from many different maritime sectors.  Visits such as these further the flag’s strategic aim to ensure its sustainable growth by building relationships on the ground in vital areas around the world.
