Representatives of The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) recently visited RINA in Genoa, continuing the Authority’s close engagement with its network of Recognised Organisations (ROs). The BMA was represented by Stephen Keenan, Senior Deputy Director (Inspections & Surveys), and Capt. Ghulam Hussain, Deputy Director (Maritime Affairs). During the meeting, RINA provided an overview of its activities and latest developments, affirming that The Bahamas is among its top ten (10) registries. The meeting also provided an opportunity for the BMA to share feedback on recent operational matters and for both organisations to discuss topics of mutual interest. The BMA values the important role its Recognised Organisations play in supporting effective oversight of the Bahamas-flagged fleet and thanks the RINA team for hosting the visit. The Authority looks forward to continuing to strengthen its relationship with RINA.
