Guidance and Instructions for Ship Owners, Managers, Masters, Seafarers, Maritime Training Institutions and Manning Agents.

1. Purpose

1.1. This Bulletin lists the approved fees in effect as at 07 February 2020.

1.2. It should be noted that with effect from 01 July 2011, no “Registration Fee” has been applied to any ship joining the Register.

1.3. This Bulletin should be read in conjunction with the relevant BMA Information Bulletins that provide additional details/clarity on the service being performed.

1.4. For the purpose of this Bulletin, a ship refers to any vessel/unit including all private (non-commercial) and charter (commercial) yachts.

1.5. Fees stated in this Bulletin are in Bahamian dollars. 1.6. Payment is also accepted in US dollars ($), pounds sterling (£) and Euro (€), or by credit card.

3. Bank Details

3.1. Fees may be paid by company cheque (drawn on U.S. bank), bankers draft, bank transfer, company draw down account or credit card. Please do not send cash or personal cheques by post. Bank details are available from the BMA on request. 

3.2. A Company draw down account for payment of fees may be established with the BMA upon request and is the recommended method of payment. Parties wishing to establish a drawn down account shall liaise with the BMA Finance Department ([email protected]).
