The Bahamas Maritime Authority is delighted to be a Partner of SHIPPINGInsight 20/20 – A Vision for the Decade.

Tom Jenkins, Deputy Director and Head of The BMA’s Investigations Department, will be chairing a discussion with panellists representing international bodies and associations, addressing safety on the high seas. They will focus on seafarer welfare and the impact COVID 19 is having on the maritime industry.

Capt. Steve Bomgardner, Regional Director (Americas) & Global Business Development Director for The BMA will also be participating and he will present on the subject of ESG, an increasingly important topic for all shipowners, investors and financiers across major industries today. Ships face a huge variety of ESG risks and challenges which begin in the construction phase, continue throughout the trading life of a vessel and, finally, conclude at the end of its lifecycle.

With a line-up of over 100 speakers from 40 companies, SHIPPINGInsight promises to be a value-add opportunity for maritime professionals to gather virtually to discuss and debate the vision for the decade. This is where fleet management meets maritime technology.

We want to invite you to join us at SHIPPINGInsight 20/20 and be part of the global maritime community that will be gathering.
