Posted on: 16th September 2019

The BMA wishes to extend its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Bahamas Shipowners Association and the individual Bahamian shipowners and maritime industry partners have made monetary contribution and  invested significant time and resources to support the relief efforts following the tragic passage of Hurricane Dorian.

Ships from Bahamian Shipowners including Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, Disney Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line,  Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line and Maritime Management LLC have been instrumental in the delivery of the much required aid.

The response from around the world has been overwhelming and as a nation, we would like to thank all those who have conveyed their words of comfort and offers of support and assistance.

The Government’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has been designated as the national focal point of contact for contributions to the hurricane relief.

The details for NEMA can be found here.
