Merchant Navy Seafarer Forum Category BMA News Date Posted 19 April 2021 Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn The Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact the lives of seafarers, whether working at sea or ashore. Many of our young UK cadets in training have also been affected, particularly when trying to secure sea time. The ongoing travel restrictions, issues with crew changes crisis last year and crew redundancies have no doubt effected some seafarers’ mental wellbeing. In response to this the MNTB, Nautical Institute, HCMM and Bahamas Maritime Authority would like to introduce the Merchant Navy Seafarers Forum as a place that offers peer-to-peer support and advice, networking and encouragement. This forum is a place for all seafarers, at sea and ashore, to discuss, share and manage every-day issues.
