Financial Institutions were the Main Focus for the Recent BMA Visit to Shanghai  

Banks and Financial Leasing houses play a vital role in supporting the shipping industry worldwide and this is especially true for Shanghai. As one of China’s most important financial hubs, it has far-reaching influence. 

Therefore, it was a pleasure for a BMA delegation, led by Asia Regional Director Capt. Jahangir Hussain, to visit the city during the first week of September.  The delegation was particularly pleased to meet with potential clients who had flown into Shanghai from Fuzhou (just under 800 km away) specifically to discuss the possibility of future collaborations with The BMA.   

It was an extremely busy week with meetings held with ten different organisations. As always, it was a wonderful opportunity for the BMA team to showcase its commitment to the Asian shipping industry and to continue to strengthen its business relationships with the rapidly growing Chinese shipping industry.
