BMA Welcomes Summer Students for 2026 Programme

The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) is pleased to welcome this year’s cohort of summer students, who are gaining valuable experience across the Authority’s offices in Nassau and London. 

Working alongside experienced professionals, the students will gain first-hand exposure to the work of an international ship registry while developing practical skills and a deeper understanding of the diverse career opportunities available within the global maritime industry. 

This year’s summer students are Maddison Moss, Helio Vitoriano, Joe Wigglesworth, Rhyan Rigby, Lauren King, Harmony Lundy, and Gabriella Francis, who will gain valuable exposure to a cross-section of the Authority’s operations through placements in Registration, Information Technology, and the Seafarers & Manning Department. 

The BMA remains committed to supporting education, professional development, and the growth of the next generation of maritime professionals. Through initiatives such as its summer student programme, the Authority continues to invest in developing local and international talent while providing meaningful opportunities to explore careers in the maritime sector.
