BMA Welcomes Disney Destiny

This week, the Bahamas Maritime Authority was pleased to participate in the Disney Destiny Plaque and Key Ceremony at Nassau Cruise Port, marking the official welcome of Disney Cruise Line’s newest vessel, proudly registered under The Bahamas flag.

Representing the BMA, Marine Investigator, Larez Pinder, and Marketing Manager, Leah Davis, attended the ceremony, with Ms. Davis presenting a commemorative plaque to Captain Andy McRonald on behalf of the Authority. The event also included a tour of the ship and a luncheon at signature restaurant, 1923. This milestone underscores the strong partnership between The Bahamas and major cruise operators, and the continued confidence placed in The Bahamas as a quality, reputable flag State.
