BMA proud sponsors of London International Shipping Week LISW23

For the UK and much of the rest of the world, London International Shipping Week is the must-attend event of the year and The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring LISW23 – one decade on from the very first LISW. 

London is one of the world’s major shipping hubs, home to many of the international regulatory bodies such as the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) as well as companies and industry bodies covering all aspects of maritime ranging from ship ownership, management, legal and financing, chartering and insurance, and classification to name a few.  The BMA itself has maintained an office in this important maritime cluster for more than a quarter of a century.

The BMA’s Managing Director and CEO, Capt Dwain Hutchinson, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming our friends and partners to London, not just those based in the UK but also from around the globe. It will be a wonderful networking opportunity where we can hear about the latest innovations and advances in our industry and also share news and views.”  

Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes, co-owner of LISW23, said: “LISW has established itself as a must-attend event in the global maritime calendar and will build significantly on the success it achieved in September 2021 when it was held right in the middle of the Covid pandemic.
