BMA Makes Strategic Visits to Singapore and Korea

Despite increasing challenges to shipping, from the rising geopolitical tensions in both the Black and Red Seas to tariff and environmental issues, international maritime continues with its vital work of transporting goods and people around the world.

Recently a Bahamas Maritime Authority delegation was pleased to spend time in two of the major Asian shipping hubs – Singapore, arguably one of the largest maritime centres in the world, and Korea, which is a significant ship owning community.

The top-level team, including Captain Dwain Hutchinson, Managing Director & CEO of The BMA, and Captain Jahangir Hussain, Asia Regional Director, was recently engaged in a busy week of client and stakeholder meetings from 28 July to 8 August. The visits to these two strategically important shipping locations bear huge significance for The BMA, which remains committed to growing its fleet in the region.
