BMA Hosts Strategy Meetings and Pays Courtesy Call in London Category BMA News Date Posted 29 May 2025 Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) recently convened its global team for a Management and Board Strategic Meeting in London—the first in-person gathering of senior team members from the BMA’s Hong Kong, London, Nassau, New York, Piraeus, and Tokyo offices in over 4 years. The sessions focused on the Registry’s strategic planning including the Authority’s role in the regulatory process, advancing environmental sustainability, including decarbonisation in shipping and technological advancement in customer service delivery. As part of the visit, the BMA Board, led by Chairman Jacqueline M. Simmons, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Paul Andy Gomez, High Commissioner of The Bahamas to the United Kingdom, and Ambassador Paul Rolle, The Bahamas’ Permanent Representative to the IMO. The engagement reinforced the BMA’s commitment to international collaboration and maintaining The Bahamas’ leadership in global maritime affairs.
