Led by Chairman Jacqueline M. Simmons, the BMA team was proud to take part in the evening’s celebrations, which recognised Dr. Cleare’s outstanding leadership and her lasting contributions to maritime training and development in The Bahamas. Under her guidance, the Academy has played a pivotal role in preparing young Bahamians for careers at sea and in the wider maritime industry. The BMA remains deeply committed to supporting maritime education and workforce development. Through its partnerships with institutions such as LJM Maritime Academy, the Authority continues to invest in initiatives that build skills, create opportunities, and inspire the next generation of Bahamian seafarers and maritime professionals.
