BMA engages with the cruise line sector at CLIA Executive Partner Summit in Miami

CLIA Executive Partner Summit in Miami

BMA Acting Managing Director & CEO Captain Dwain Hutchinson, BMA Nassau Branch Manager Katie Clarke and BMA New York Registration Assistant Felicia Alleyne formed the Bahamas’ delegation at the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) Executive Partner Summit in Miami, USA.

The Summit which brings together the cruise line industry stakeholders with CLIA’s cruise line members to discuss matters pertaining to port operations, travel & tourism, supply chain logistics and technical.  At this year’s event, which was attended by over 300 participants, the BMA sponsored a coffee break and Captain Hutchinson was one of the speakers on the Regulatory Update panel.

The BMA also used the opportunity to thank its cruise shipowners for their participation by making their ships available in Nassau and Freeport during First Bi-Annual Bahamas National Marine Week 2018.  As a symbol of the BMA’s gratitude for their support and co-operation, Acting Managing Director and CEO Capt. Dwain Hutchinson, BMA Branch Manager Katie Clarke and Registration Felicia Alleyne are seen below presenting plaques to representatives from Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, and Disney Cruise Line.”
